Gordon Tocher has a Commerce Degree in Information Systems and Marketing with 25 years business experience. His natural aptitude for procurement led to his appointment as Purchasing Manager at a leading New Zealand food company at the age of 25. Key achievements during this period included lowering inventory levels, improving delivery performance, improving quality and of course reducing costs during a period of double digit inflation. These achievements contributed the company to become the first in New Zealand to fully implement an early ERP system.

As an ERA Consultant, Gordon has worked on a wide variety of cost categories, including telecommunications, IT consumables, medical supplies, industrial materials, cleaning chemicals, insurance, couriers and freight, energy, storage media, office supplies and laundry services. He has also developed systems enabling New Zealand organisations to reclaim overseas VAT.

His clients have included Natural History NZ Ltd, Otago Polytechnic, Southport NZ Ltd, Naylor Love Ltd, Scott Technology Ltd, Gore District Council and Cottonsoft Ltd.
